With the cost of food heading into the clouds, growing your own food comes to mind even if you haven’t done it before. This is a perfect time to start and learn small with a container garden. this is the perfect time to start and learn as much as you can to make sure you can survive a “bad crop”. Don’t worry it happen and we all learn from it and keep growing anyway.
Meet the tools
So, I want to introduce you to some tools you will need as you start or continue to learn and enjoy gardening. Of course, most of us, love to feel the soil between our fingers. However, in other instances, we need some help from tools to get the job done. Tools help in speeding up the process of cutting, cultivating, cleaning, and doing other garden-related tasks. The type of tools to use will still depend on the type of gardening that the individual wishes to pursue. If you are into organic gardening, there are also a set of tools that are suitable for this particular type of gardening. Having the right tool is the vital
aspects of organic gardening.
Hand Trowel
Trowels are ideal for planting smaller herbs, annuals, and vegetables.
These tools are also utilized in digging out stubborn weeds, planting
container gardens, and combining potting mixes. If you have
enough budget, buy a trowel that is made up of stainless steel. These
are proven to be ultimately durable and usually include a rubberized
grip or wooden for utmost comfort.
Hand Cultivator
This gardening tool is beneficial in terms of removing smaller weeds
and roughing the soil prior to seeding either in garden beds or
containers. Look for a cultivator that is a piece of molded or forged
steel or the one with a steelhead that is attached securely to wooden
handles.

Used for scooping soil, fertilizer, and other soil amendments
Other Tools
Gloves, Bypass pruners, and a sharp knife are all other tools that will come in handy as you get more knowledgeable in your journey with growing your own foods. In the featured image, in the beginning, I also purchased a long container that would fit the area that it would be living in. I was able to do that because I knew that particular spinach doesn’t have a deep root system choose one plant that you love to eat learn the specifics of it so that you are not throwing your money away.
